Former Pier at St. Marks wildlife refuge (Florida)Wandered down to the nearest beach from Tallahassee with the family today, so the niece & nephew could see the gulf. Still, it is more of a wildlife refuge, with lots of hiking trails vs. more of a traditional Florida beach. Caught this one late this afternoon as the sun was making its way down.

St. Marks lighthouseWeather was a bit drab, but caught a good reflection of the lighthouse at the shore of St. Marks wildlife refuge on the gulf. My niece wanted to go inside, but the door was locked.

Woods behind the St. Marks visitor center
Behind the visitor center is a nice 1/3 mile boardwalk trail (suitable for my 5 year old niece) that took us through some of the swampland in the wildlife refuge. Caught this shot along the trail.

Princess Madeline on the shoreMadeline didn't exactly have her beach shoes on when wandering into the gulf today. Still, she enjoyed herself.
