At a recent meeting of the BPS Essex Branch I was presented with a printing press — or rather, a cardboard box full of little pieces of wood. Thanks, Ken! There was a plan but the instructions were missing, as were a few of the pieces, but I got it all assembled in the end, with only a couple of changes from from the plan as it seemed to differ from pictures of old presses which I could find but please don't quibble about the historical accuracy.
This lo-fi video is proof that it actually works. I don't think it will be taking the place of the Adana, though.
