HDR has more drama, I love it! is it from single image, made with photomatix?

    6. balsamia (63 months ago | reply)

Fantastic treatment.. I would definately prefer the HDR. The details of the cliff is fantastic.. and the concrete and the metal on the roadside is very cool. The sky I think looks a little too dramatic, and takes too much attention. Maybe you should try a mix-version, with a lighter HDR-treatment on the sky-part?

Wow you have some great HDRs, and this one is no exception. The clouds flow well with the curve of that cliff.

amazing shot! The detail in the cliff is spectacular and the perspective is eye grabbing. I may have tried to frame a little to the left to get the entire guard rail and the road, but then that beautiful cliff would get cut off.

Excellent shot & HDR, I was going to head down there yesterday but got busy with other things. I need to go to bed, I've had a busy week and it all starts again when I have to be up @ 3:10am for work.
I'll catch up on the rest of your pics when I get home tomorrow.

Thank you very much for your nice comments and invitations.
Teemu Rytky Thanks. Yeah this was done in Photomatix. Single image. with -2 0 +2.
Thank you. I know sometimes I get a bit carried away with my microsmoothing (or rather the lack of it) in photomatix...
Thank you. That framing is a problem of the past now, with my new Sigma 10-20mm...
Thanks so much. Hope you get enough sleep.

Awesome HDR ! Did you use the Lucisart filter as well or is this pure HDR ?

Great HDR. The HDR version looks so much more dramatic and the details on the cliff face are amazing. The normal version looks ...well normal in comparison. Great work

I really like this image alot, however I find the sky really distracting. The transition from deep blue/black to a normal sky at the horizon seems somewhat jarring.

Why did you execute the sky in this manner?

    34. alexkess (39 months ago | reply)

@Claudio Branch Yeah looking at it now. I think your right. The sky is a bit over done. Maybe if I can find the time I might rework this one a bit. Thanks for the Comment
