INDEPENDENCE RISES AT RED FORT

    Newer Older

The sun rises over the Majestic Red Fort in Delhi - as Independent India turns 59. Even as India looks boldly towards the future, the nation is handicapped by unfulfilled promises made by the establishment from the very same ramparts of the Red Fort - when India was born….

Yeah, great silhouette- much detail and interest- and the range of hues in the sky is really great too.

Great pic - totally got me nostalgic for my days in Delhi.... the shot of the sunrise over Red Fort brings to mind endless mornings on a U-Special as I'd make my way to Hindu College....

Love the colours - how did you manage to get the light to fade across the image?

Ummm ... I actually remember an Akash Banerjee from my time in Hindu.... You didn't join in 1999, did you?! I was in Statistics.... name's Siddharth... was part of the whole "Blood on the Cat's Neck" thing!

Dude - if you're the same person, I need to blog about this on Desipundit, since I found your pic on their photo feed! :) Freakishly small world! :)
