      From my blog post: "The cover photo is copyrighted 1967 by Casey Sonnabend & Michael Bowen. It seems this may have been used for a "Human Be-in" poster as well."

      I can't remember where I saw this Human Be-In poster -- probably in a random book of hippy art.

      What was the bookstore?! I told someone on the blog I would keep an eye out for a copy for him. Did you read the Shattuck translation, or the newer translation from Tusk/Overlook? I love the book in Shattuck's translation and fear the other may be dampening its reputation.

      it's in san jose, california. i read a newer translation, maybe it's not so good? I'll go and pick it up if they still have it, give it another shot. if so i can work out some way to send it to you or him. let you know later.
