Salamanca, 25/2/2011. El nombre de las Escuelas Menores viene de que se realizaban en ellas los estudios de bachiller, o estudios menores, paso previo a los estudios mayores que otorgaban los títulos de Licenciado y de Doctor y se impartían en las Escuelas Mayores.

The name of the Escuelas Menores (Minor Colleges) comes from the fact that in them they took place the lower studies, first step before the higher studies that were taught in the Escuelas Mayers (Major Colleges).
