Some 7 winters ago, my husband and I were walking trough Walkreville,
old Windsor's district. He points to the tree and says:" Look,
blue jay!" I look up, and the bird I see is scarlet red, cardinal
red... Hmmm, Red Cardinal?
"That is Cardinal, you know" the experienced bird watcher
in me corrected him.
"No, that is Blue Jay" says Nenad. "Only blue."
Since that point, we just call all birds Blue Jay...

I've had a family of blue jays occasionally at my feeder this year - I don't often see them though and when I do, they are very skittish. This handsome fellow looks like he is posing for just for you! And, hey, he really IS a blue jay!
