Marriott Norcross

I groaned when my alarm went off this morning at 5:30 -- an hour and a half earlier than it usually does. But I made it out of bed within fifteen minutes and to work by 7:20. That gave me nearly forty-five minutes to answer e-mails and take care of chores before I had to leave to go to the Marriott Norcross for an all-day training session. It's less than a mile from my office, but due to the presence of a divided highway I ended up driving slightly more than a mile to get there.

The training was surprisingly useful and included lunch at the hotel restaurant, which had a very well done buffet. I also got the chance to make some contacts within my company, which was a good opportunity. So despite being very tired from being up far too early, and despite the fact that I'll no doubt come into chaos tomorrow morning, it was worth it.
