Ten-virgins

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
"At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'
" ‘No,' they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' "But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. "Later the others also came. ‘Sir! Sir!' they said. ‘Open the door for us!' "But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

The-Sower

The-Sower

The Parable of the Sower

"A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up.
Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture.
Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.
Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown."

"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

Mark’s thoughts

Text on the painting:

„I would give anything to be with you. I would give everything to have just one minute back on earth. I would not care if I was the most despised, deserted, diseased, hated or poorest on the earth. I would give everything to be back, for just one moment on earth. "
Jesus' answer to Mark's thoughts: „Mark, why would you want to return to earth for just one moment? "

With revered and tortured voice Mark replied: „Lord Jesus, I would give everything to go back to earth if just for one moment. I would do that to repent so I might be saved. "When the Lord heard Mark saying those words, I saw blood flowing from Jesus' wounds and tears filling His eyes. „Mark, it is too late now, for the worms have made your bed and cover your body." When the Lord had said that, Mark sank into the lake of fire forever. There is no hope for a single soul there, only us here, on earth, may repent to go to heaven to be there with Lord Jesus.

"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.
