Flickr Does Love Me!
I finally received the care package the Yahoo! Flickr staff sent to me while I was in Iraq. I warned Kevin (who sent me the stuff, thanks man!) that military post is notoriously inefficient especially when delivering mail to service members in combat zones.
As soon as I saw the envelope, I immediately felt sorry (and a bit proud!) for it. It had made its way into Iraq, got lost, and made it to me three months later. It was so beat up, it came to me as a wrinkled up ball of brown paper.
It had all sort of goodies in it. Mini cards and key chains (lens cloth) and stickers big and small. And tiny little Flickr buttons that just scream to be put on. I intend to share these goodies with my buds and of course, some of the Flickr people I know. We are going to have a mini Flickr meetup in July 7 in San Diego.
Thanks Kevin Collins and Flickr! You do love me. :)
Oh, and thanks for my roommate for being my "hand model." I
had him sitting down with his hands full of these Flickr goodies while
I snap away. He must have thought I have lost it.
