Caught Reading

Nicholas is reading Tom Clancy's The Bear and the Dragon.

I was taking Nicholas' photo and kept commenting about the "crumbs on his face" that shows up in the camera. I leaned closer to his to wipe the offending crumb, but then started to laugh as I realized that it was his mustache. So, I continued taking photos. And then I did it again, because many of the photos I had been taking were being ruined by the presence of a crumb around his lips. Each time, it was just his mustache.

By the sixth time, he just glared at me.

It might be overstepping boundaries to lean across, and shave his moustache off.....?!!!

He actually shaved it off with a knife after I showed him the photographs (he was going "Ow. That hurt. Ow. Ow.") :) He agrees that it is not him, it is just we hardly have the time to ourselves nowadays so he cannot be bothered to be always shaving it off. Very hectic schedules.

Nicholas has nicely-shaped lips.(Hey, I'm a woman, and a mother. I'm allowed to say that, without being accused of being lewd and libidinous.)

Men everywhere read Clancy on and off the battlefield. I find that amusing and comforting somehow!

Mrs. B: Hahaha! When I first started taking photos of him, that was the first thing I told him. "Wow, you have nice pouty lips." He told me, "Thanks. I know." And I was not being lewd!

Miss Tracey: Indeed. It helps that his work is pure escapism at its best.

Do any of your fellow soldiers or yourself need any new books sent to you. I was in the military and did a tour in Riyadh and was sick of all the old books I had already read. Let me know and I'll send you whatever you'd like.....Peace!

Not me or my fellow marines as we are going home soon. But other marines who are currently serving out here do need books. I am going to see if I can get you their address out here. I am sure they will appreciate it.

A man reading a book. I love this picture. Your photo's are beautiful as are you. I am a mother of 3 little ones and I can't ever imagine them being so far away from me in such unsafe lands. I pray for you all everyday to stay strong, stay safe and come home soon.
      Peace & Love
