x Canusium and Luceria L-T Roman Republican struck Bronzes, Second Punic War Period

This photograph is explained on andrewmccabe.ancients.info/Bronzes.html

I have prepared two new web-pages intended to explain the more difficult aspects

of Roman Republican struck bronzes. These contain a great deal of new research

material or new explanatory theories on struck bronzes, and thus are a

progression from what is presented in Michael Crawford's Roman Republican

Coinage.

The first page gives a detailed explanation of the anonymous bronzes of the

following four areas:

- Rome

- Sicily

- Luceria / Canusium

- Etruria

The second page covers relevant literature on Roman Republican Bronzes:

Two further pages are planned in due course. One will deal with other struck

bronzes of the Second Punic War period. The second will deal with bronzes from

200 BC to 150 BC. These pages will be launched within a couple of months, at

least before end 2011.
