410/8 #9554-39 Q.POMPONI MVSA Apollo star, Muse Urania pointing to globe on tripod, Denarius

Denarius. 52BC. 3.93grams. Rome mint. Pomponia. Crawford 410/08 Q.POMPONI MVSA. Obverse: hd Apollo r laur, star. Reverse: Urania, wand globe tripod. Scarce. Urania, Muse of Astronomy; obv. attribute Star. At first glance this coin seems plated, when you see the brown markes around the dotted border, but closer inspection it in fact solid and the brown marks are encrustations and not a break in plating. Also note its heavy weight, near 4 grams.
