To All Graduates: (plz read)

Graduation is a passage for students of all ages. Whether it be from preschool or college, it is something to be celebrated. I congratulate all those who are taking the next step in their education or professional life.
For those leaving high school, remember that this is not an end — it’s the beginning of the rest of your life. It’s easy to think that once high school is over the fun has ended and adulthood should promptly begin, but don’t be in a hurry to grow up. Embrace your youth — in a responsible way. High school graduation is your invitation to explore the real world. Take that opportunity and run with it. Whether that means going to college or a trade school or heading straight into the work force, just remember you control your destiny. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Be a leader, not a follower — name a positive name for yourself. You will find that it will get you farther.
It can be a scary feeling, but just remember you are never alone. Don’t lose contact with those who became important to you during your high school years — family, friends and even teachers. Be there for them and they will always be there for you. Never be afraid to take a risk. Take a chance on yourself and try the path less traveled and see where it leads you. You don’t want to look back and wonder “what if?”
