Blue Hour at Kenrokuen

Kenrokuen Garden is said to be one of 3 most beautiful gardens in Japan. It is especially famous during winter time when the whole garden is covered in snow. The most famous area is this spot, the one with the Tokoji lantern which I still do not know what it symbolizes. Maybe some Japanese could help me understand?

Sunrise at Kanazawa Castle

After shooting around the Kenrokuen Garden, we stopped by the Kanazawa Castle which is directly infront of the garden. What's weird about this castle is that it is just a long hallway. There is nothing behind it but flat lands of snow.

update

I found out that the real Castle was burnt down centuries ago and all that remains is the castle wall. This corner of the wall is actually a turret tower :p
