Black Madonna, Vierge Noire
The first side chapel of Saint John's Church houses the famous Black Virgin, a statue carved in walnut at the end of the fourteenth century and influenced by the late-Gothic Parler style of Cologne. Before being brought to the Grund she was in a monastery in Marienthal.
