Amélie was right

    Beans like these always remind me of Amélie Poulain, who enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as sticking her hand into a barrel of beans. And you know, there is something to it.

      You remind ME of Amélie Poulain.
      I hear accordion music when i look at your pictures!

      And doesn't a few mushrooms feel like holding a small child's hand?

      Where do you get all of these ideas? Very good foto! I would try it but my nails are not as nice as yours!

      Used to live on rue Lepic, just three blocks away from the Café...to make the film they probably gassed about million tourists!

      Please, just for me, make one with your toes. Pretty please?

      Thanks for this. My first belly laugh of the day! Now I want to put *my* hand in some beans.

      Neat! Great idea for an image! And yes, there is something to it... Better than letting sand through your fingers.

      those are some weird beans. are you sure they are not radioactive or something? ;o) Love the textures though.

    18. Yakima_gulag (80 months ago | reply)

      there is a special kind of beans grown only in a couple of New Mexico Indian Pueblos that look like that! I wish I had some, they are one of the few types of beans that don't give me absolutely terrifying gas with bloating.

      @jam343: thank you :)

      @ERIO: yeah, that's nice too, but I didn't have a river in my kitchen, so I had to make do with the beans ;)

      @SSH: thanks :)

      @nexus6 & fmsbotelho: thank you, I hope each of you had a great Sunday as well :)

      @_BoBsOn_: pomysł fajny, ale obawiam się, że w życiu nie chciałoby mi się poświęcać czasu na ciapanie paznokci 'na fasolkę' ;) Natomiast bardzo chętnie zobaczę efekt Twojej współpracy z siostrą w tym zakresie! ;)

      @greybeard: oh thanks, that's a lovely compliment :)

      @fotobydave: you should give it a try anyway, I think =)

      @teagrrl: that's true, the movie is great - hey, thanks for your comment and visit :)

      @garbidz: now, toes in beans is a bit too odd an idea even for me ;P

      @gregarious_monk: haha, my pleasure - it's always great to make someone laugh!

      @PauloJLourenco: that's right, although the sand sifting through your fingers feels nice too :)

      @Aga: ja też! Dzięki za komentarz =)

      @Eelco & Yakima_gulag: these here are ordinary beans, one of many kinds grown in Poland (and nope, they aren't radioactive ;P) I'm sure they have a name, but I know nothing at all about gardening or farming so I can't tell you what they're called ;)

      @-helmi-: thanks :)

      ahhh, so true the simple pleasures in life are not to be overlooked. another simple pleasure that i absolutely love are pumkin seeds, fresh from the pumpkin and rinsed under water. they swirl, feel fabulous and make the most amazing patterns! i've been meaning to capture the beauty of them on film.

      your photos are amazing!

    33. Agnieszka (79 months ago | reply)

      @clickybd: that reminds me, I've heard that this contact of yours has a crush on.. hmm.. ok, imagination fails me ;)

      @paladinsf: but my hand is ;D

      @Gabriel_Jabur: thank you! :)

      @MarXh|<a: yes, yes, that's it :)

      @NaS-city: you haven't watched it yet?! Then what are you waiting for? ;P Thanks for the comment :)

      @LeoLondon: relax, we won't charge you extra for the meat ;P

      @TLA8: thanks a lot, both for the comment and the compliment :) Yes, simple pleasures can make your day, just like annoying little things can ruin it. But that's not surprising when you think that life in general is a collection of little things. Hey, I'm looking forward to seeing those pumpkin seed photos, so please do take them! :)
