This suddently reminded me of an old sign in Massillon, Ohio from years ago. It was a moving sign - the slices of bread used to actually fall out of the end of the wrapper.

I wonder if these signs were the same then. This one had animated neon that created the same effect. Do you remember what brand of brand of bread the one in Ohio was? Any chance it's still there?

The sign has been gone for a long time - I remember it from back in the 60s when I was a kid, probably gone by the 70s. Don't remember the brand either unfortunately. It might have been behind a Lum's restaurant? I think the bread action was actually something rotating on the sign - not neon - it was something you could see operating during the day, too. Shame that stuff like that fades from memory without any lasting photos.
