Ah - that's the malaysian kind of roti. I like it better than Indian roti... particularly chapatti. I hate that.

Well, I guess they're both Indian but like in most diaspora the food sometimes gets adapted to local ingredients and tastes. Indian roti (there's maybe 8-12 Indian breads, but I mean chapatti more than pronti/paratha) is made of wholemeal wheat (atta) and is unleavened. It's a bit smaller and round, but not as small as the fried puri bread.
