Years Gone By

    When we stumbled upon this old man sitting in the Ta Phrom Temple, we couldn't believe it. He is the same man on the cover of the Lonely Planet Cambodia travel guide.

      Wow, fascinating. The picture itself looks as if it belongs in a guidebook...very enticing, tremendous depth.

      Thanks for the words. This place really is an undiscovered jewel and these temples are nothing short of magnificent. The only thing that upsets me with this photo is the washout on the side of his head. I was so giddy that I missed it....

      It works though. Pictures that are, photographically speaking, perfect, have an unnatural element of human creation rather than the random, element of surprise...like finding the guidebook cover model. It just fits perfectly, in short.
