Freaky cool

Our last full day in the village ended with a Nyau dance featuring wild dancing, pounding drums and freaky costumes. In the photo you can see a Nyau dancer, a Kakowa dancer, the ladies choir and more. My neighbor set up the event and I paid the dancers so half way through I stopped everything and gave a local pastor a chance to preach at those assembled. The event was slightly satanic but mostly just a chance for people to dance. I have much more to share but it will have to wait til next week.
