Staff and residents spent the evening at the state park July 31 to celebrate a few birthdays. We cooked out (veggie burgers and corn on the cob), then made pudgie pies and s'mores instead of birthday cake!

Advocate Abbie looked like a natural cowgirl! She took Destroyer for a spin around the yard after the residents rode.

While this photo makes it APPEAR as though Cindy loved being on Sonny, by the end of her 20-minute ride she was saying "Get me off this horse! I want my feet back on the ground!" She was much happier to admire and interact with the animals from the ground.

Bethany took Destroyer out for the second round of trail riding.

Betsy helped prepare Sonny for riding by brushing him, and she snuck in a few pats on the nose, too!
