National Dance Week Opens |
Bay Area National Dance Week is an
annual 10-day
celebration of free public dance events
in the Bay Area which leads the
month of April into the Merry Month of
May and the Carnaval SF Bay Area
Season. Its kickoff event is the
world's longest conga line where some
of the Bay Area's most contagious and
charismatic dancers lead a parade
as pipe pipers in an attempt to get the
downtown San Francisco crowds
2nd lining their lead. For 2008, the
kickoff to hundreds of introduction
to dance events was led by
founder/director of
Hot Pink
Feathers and 2008 Carnaval SF Queen Kellita together with her
dance partner 2008 Carnaval SF King Everett.
