Adrian on Baxter Street

    Here I am with my car on Baxter Street in Silver Lake. They say it's not as steep as Eldred Street in Highland Park, but I found the streets in Silver Lake more interested because they were through streets -- and they went up and down and back up again.

    Yes, these streets are steeper than the roads in San Fransisco even. The picture doesn't do it justice.

    To drive up this street I had to really goose the throttle in first gear. Stopping really wasn't an option if I didn't want to burn out my clutch trying to get going again.
