A clearing by the oak

There was quite strong light that afternoon, as I stood in the shade and caught a glimpse of the sunny clearing just beyond the oak's shade. The colours weren't as strong so I used a B&W conversion to bring out the play of light and shadow.

    I really like the way you have captured this and it looks great in BW. Looking at the larger picture I can see there is quite a bit of detail in the trunk of the tree, I might have tried to lighten it a bit to make it more obvious, I might also have tried to darken the grass behind the tre a little bit, just enough the bring out the detail. Just nit-picking, it is still a great picture.

    Very nice!!

    If you pushed me......I'd look for a little more detail, and a touch more contrast.
