It was a normal night outing with my kaki Reggie trying to get a shot of the abandoned Alkaff Mansion@Telok Blangah Hill. We were unable to gain access into the premises so we venture to the nearby Terrace Garden at Telok Blangah Hill Park. As you can see the place was deserted. After shooting from the top, we walked down these old stairways to try more shots from below. At this point, I was done and Reggie was taking his last few shots when all of a sudden a lady in red appear at the top of the stairs looking down for a moment before gracefully walking off. Both of us was sure of her strange appearance out of the blues. There is no way she can be up there as there was no one in sight earlier. I have heard many strange stories about Telok Blangah and now I am just beginning to wonder if they are true.
About Telok Blangah Hill Park
Since the early nineteenth century, the park has long been a place of
gathering for trading communities which flourished. The prosperity of
the traders is represented by the Alkaff Mansion, an elegant colonial
bungalow built by an Arab trader and is previously a place for grand
parties of the social elite. The Alkaff Mansion was abandoned after
World War II and the Mansion went into a state of disrepair. In 1986
the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board became interested in the Mansion
and restore it to to become a restaurant. In 2003 it was abandon again
till today.
