Adelsheim Spring Barrel Tasting - March 16, 2008 |
Our Spring Barrel Tasting offers not
only an exciting preview of what's to
come with the next vintage, but it also
gives our winemaking team an opportunity
to showcase our beautiful caves to our
friends and neighbors.
This year our Winemaker Dave Paige and
Assistant Winemaker Erik Kramer were
joined by David Adelsheim in the caves
to distribute and talk about wine
samples from an assortment of barrel
selections.
Our guests not only got to enjoy
fabulous wines that are still evolving
in the barrel, but they got to
experience a classroom-like education
from our engaging winemaking team.
Also highlighted was a very special
tasting of the 2006 Quarter Mile Lane
Pinot noir — the only public opportunity
to taste this exceptional single
vineyard wine.
As with any Adelsheim barrel tasting
event, an assortment of cheese, pates
& charcuterie were available to
sample.

Adelsheim in 1971, the winery began with
a 15-acre site on the southern slopes of
the Chehalem Mountains.
After 30 vintages, the Adelsheim estate
vineyards now comprise eleven sites
totaling 192 acres and a cutting-edge
winery allowing for gentle, “hands-off”
winemaking methods.
