SFIFF52-ZIFT-(photo used by permission)

A scene from Javor Gardev's striking genre hybrid ZIFT, playing at the 52nd San Francisco International Film Festival, April 23 - May 7, 2009.

SFIFF52- ZIFT

ADDA's FAVORITE FILM at the 52nd SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!

ZIFT

Director JAVOR GARDEV

Cast: Zachary Baharov, Tanya Lliena , Vladimir Penev, Mihail Mutafov

Incredible hommage to the 'film noir' world with tons of reference shots throughout. Super fun with many many twists and turns on 'who has what' and 'who is what'. With the most jaw-dropping ending ever.

MOTH is an ex-con falsely convicted of murder

in the 1940s who is released in Communist Bulgaria.

Where is the rare black diamond MOTH is suspected of stealing? Where is his girlfriend? Who is his cellmate? Where is his son? Who is after MOTH? Where is that rare black diamond or does it not exist?

WOW. talk about turns and twists in this great hommage to BLACK & WHITE 'FILM NOIR'.

There were so many great films at the SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL...though ZIFT is the one ADDA's favorite of the cream of the crop.

JAW-DROPPING turns and twists...with great incredible acting and wonderful filming.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
