Magical Transparent Bonnet

Idea nicked from And who got the idea from here.

 

Full moon, 5 minute exposure, 10mm @ f/8.

 

Had to be careful not to light the middle of the bonnet. This is a single exposure, no photoshop to add the engine into the picture, and the bonnet is not transparent ;-)

How this photo was taken

I started the exposure with the bonnet opened, lit the engine with my LED torch (only lighting areas that I wanted to show in the image). I then closed the bonnet, proceeded to light the rest of the car and areas around the edge of the bonnet.

 

Througout the exposure I had another set of LEDs lighting the inside of the car.
