Industrial British Columbia 1946
Promotional catalogue for B.C.'s industrial sector 1946.

Text from the cover:

Industrial British Columbia 1946.

Canada's magnificent new industrial empire.

Geared to efficient high quality production.

Backed by an adequate pool of skilled labor.

Prepared and published in the interests of the people of British Columbia by Vancouver's home newspaper: the Vancouver Sun.

From the Forward:

Well known as a vast storehouse of mineral and forest wealth, the Province of British Columbia is not so well known as a fast-growing industrial centre.

Few British Columbians –certainly very few Eastern Canadians, United States business men or British Empire industrialists– realize the extent of the accomplishments and the facilities that are now available here for manufacturing of all kinds.

This survey has been prepared to place on record the information that it is felt should be known. It is in two parts: First, an illustrated news section graphically telling the story of leading manufacturing developments; second, a concise factual compilation of statistics giving complete authoritative basic data. With the co-operation of leading business men this survey is being distributed throughout the world.

The publishers hope that this essential data will thus be widely disseminated and that material progress will be made in furthering British Columbia’s industrial development and prosperity.
