Chester Zoo - amethyst starling

    With all the fantastic birds in the Tropical Avery Having one that particulaly catches your eye must make it a real stunner, and I think this amethyst starling is one of them! The colours are just Crazy as you can see. I think starlings are one of those birds that are just made to be colourful, even our Duller looking birds have such fantastic colours when you look properly.

      Had one of these in the back garden the other day....sorry...the irridescent plumage is stunning, I can see why you were drawn to them, beautiful.
