Thanks to Israeli citizen Yonathan Shapira (and crew member on the US Boat to Gaza, the Audacity of Hope) for being at Ben Gurion airport to meet the internationals who made it through the Israeli blockade of the airspace required for persons to enter in order to get to the West Bank--its not just Israeli airspace, its Palestinian airspace too! Israeli blockades everywhere-the naval and air blockades of Gaza and the air and land blockades of the West Bank--the Israelis have walled themselves in (with US help) and are imprisoning themselves, at least in mind and emotion, as well as the physical imprisonment of Palestinians!

How wonderful that Yonatan is there, and the internationals - showing those Israeli police what it means to "Stay Human" as he did in Greek waters. And how wonderful that the Israeli force, fully supported by the US Government, is fully exposed to the world - naked in spirit - the very ugly ruelty that they are trying to deny and trying to hide from the world - and they have done it themselves. I hear the world singing "We are a Peaceful Loving People". This apartheid, too, will end! Would that it were sooner.

Yonatan, thank you. I hope to see you again in July when I come to help rebuild Beit Arabiya.
