I very much like the color and feeling of this photo. Gives the city a near magical quality. Great the way you compose the colors, reflections and clouds into a wonderful whole.

This is awesome! If you don't mind me asking, where was this taken from? I'll be in NYC tomorrow evening for a few days.

-- it was taken from Brooklyn Bridge Park along the water line. You can take the 2,3 to Clark St in Brooklyn to get there (among other ways).

    - brooklyn bridge park is a pretty good place for shots of lower manhattan, though it's down along the water, so you'll probably need to do a fair amount of perspective correction. there's also a park on the other side of the bridge on the brooklyn side (empire fulton ferry park), as well as brooklyn heights, which has an elevated view of lower manhattan. take the 2-3 to clark st. keep in mind that the brooklyn bridge is being renovated for the next few years, so it's covered by a huge tarp in places.

Just stumbled across this picture - the colours are amazing. The only thing I think can improve it is that the image is sloping slightly to the right (the edge of the water shows this) - other than that it is stunning.
