VES Awards 2009 - 2.21.2009 |
The Visual Effects Society awards show
where fx in movies, television, games,
and commercials are honored. We went as
a Blizzard team to represent, two tables
of us in support of our nomination of
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich
King for Best Pre-Rendered Cinematic for
a Game category.
Last year we won for The Burning Crusade, and this year we are happy to have won again! This is the first project I've been a part of to win the VES award, I'm very lucky to be on the team!
Some notable stars here at this year's show is Dennis Muren, Phil Tippet (honored for the George Mellies Lifetime Achievement Award), David Fincher, Brian Austin Green, Tia Carrerra, John Favreau, and Andy Serkis. I was fortunate to be able to meet some of these very down to earth celebrities after the event!
All in all a very awesome experience. Congrats Jeff, Philip, and Blizzard Cinematics!
