Alma Mater Plays BasketballIn memoriam, Dawn Weber. The mother of coach Bruce Weber died Friday, March 11, just before the start of the season. That's just heart, man. Pure heart. America the beautiful. 'Nuff said. The instigation for all this madness. We are the Fighting Illini. Never forget that. Our seed, hopefully our eventual outcome tonight. Bead necklaces, man! As reported on the Daily Illini, alumni Mary and John Weaver of Champaign, and Rod and Kathy Kingston of Urbana, clothed the Alma Mater statue in garb suitable to cheer the team on in tonight's closing match of the season.
