Peace in Lebanon?
About 5000 people massed at the Israeli Consulate in Toronto, Canada Saturday to protest the continued bombing of Lebanon. There were community groups representing Arabs, Muslims, Jews, Christians and organized labour in attendance with citizens from all walks of life. There was a large police presence which is normal for an such an event, but the protest was a peaceful one and no arrests were made. The rally began at Bloor and Avenue road and proceeded down University to the American Consulate.
