The beach one down from Cordoama, where I did the sea mist shot:

I presume the name comes from the castle shaped rock.
The sand patterns make it for me.
These are all done on the West facing Atlantic coast of South Portugal.
This one is taken along the beach, facing almost North, concentrating on the sand patterns and the rocks that give the beach its name.
This photo was taken on June 28, 2006 in Vila Do Bispo, Faro, PT, using an Olympus E-500.

@mirrorscope - we are looking sideways along the beach here, not out to sea. These Western coast beaches are fairly fierce, colder than the Southern facing tourist beaches, and mainly used by surfers, people looking to camp cheaply in the countryside, and the German / Dutsh community who have colonised that bit of the coast as surely as the English have colonised the centre.
An interesting area - my only gripe is that restaurant prices are insane (by Portuguese satandards). I'm taking a picnic these days...
