White Lily

Taken at Portland's International Rose Test Garden, the roses were just starting to bud when we visited on Mother's Day 2007. But the other flowering plants, like this eager looking white lily made up for the barren rose bushes.

According to wikipedia, the 4.5 acre rose garden has 7,000 rose plants of approximately 550 varieties and is the oldest continuously operating public rose test garden in the United States.
