Madam Marie's at Asbury Park, on the boardwalk. This was taken before she opened back up, when Asbury Park was at "rock bottom" before the renewal (gentrification) began.

I'm a servant of fate in this garden of truth
A humble recruit of the taffeta booth
Where all things are known but few are revealed
Where sins are forgotten and sickness is healed

Funny how knowledge can appear to exist inside the small confines of a 'box' =)
Wonderful shot.

thnks all

Benzadrine: Nope, she was already closed for about 6 years when this was taken. A year later she decided to open up again since the town started to come back. It's hard for me to understand how a town right on the ocean with great beaches can deteriorate the way Asbury Park did.

a la Springsteen:

Did you hear, the cops finally busted Madame Marie for tellin' fortunes better than they do.

The picture has that "way out in left field" feel to it, works great for the subject. Great shot.
