BMW 530i

    Shot up Topanga Canyon in some really thick fog... drove up to shoot a sunset but that was obviously out of the question.

    it's almost like a BMW commercial (cant you just hear that deep voice "BMW, the ultimate driving machine"...)

      I think we should win the "idiots stupid enough to take pictures in the dense fog where you can't see a foot in front of you award" but as the picture shows, it was damn worth it risking our lives on the side of the canyon! =]

      From Critique Me - Newby Photo's group:

      Good use of the wheather you were dealt. The only thing it's missing would require equipment and money.... OR... autobracketting and a tripod + photoshop. The car's long side should be lit brighter than the background to make it pop.

      You ever notice that the "sword of greatness" up there is a phalic symbol w/ a pair of purple "boys" :-) I noticed it one day when I was scrolling down fast.

      Thanks for all the great feedback.

      nstiles42 - I set the camera on a tripod and stood to the right of the car (out of the frame). I then used a wireless remote to take the shot. I had about a 15 sec exposure so i began firing my flash (hand held) as many times as I can all over the car. I couldn't really get to the front of the car without crossing through the frame and being in the shot.

      some great equipment would have definitely helped out ($$$). And I hadn't noticed the obvious phallic symbols in the "swords of greatness"... until now! lol

      You actually can walk in front of the lens on a shot with an exposure that long, just keep moving and don't point your light at the lens. Great Shot.
