Old New York

Another shot for the guess where NYC group. Bonus points if anyone can tell me not just the location, but what this was an advertisement for?

This seems like a good candidate for the Forgotten Wall Ads Pool too. It's very cool.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've submitted it to that group.

It's an advert for Non Fade Wall Paint sadly the firm that makes it has gone out of business. (1-2-3)

That's okay... it seems like I've stumped the Guess Where NYC group with this one. So I'll give everyone a hint: think DUMBO.

      Elephant Glue!

No idea really, but nice textures, thumbnail doesn't make it look so good.

It's on the side of a building in Brooklyn Bridge Park, iirc. Couldn't tell you what it's an ad for, though. Been trying to figure that one out myself.

You're 110% correct, czeltic girl! I just mapped the exact location. I'm glad someone finally guessed this.

Well, I had this to go on. ;)

So do you actually know what this was an ad for?

No idea. I was hoping someone else would know. That building dates back to 1870, though I doubt the ad is that old.
