A great musician and an equally nice guy, I jumped at the chance to help update Matt's visual catalogue.
This was shot in my sun room. The lighting was a single, giant soft box to his right and a flash hidden in the lamp shade behind him. Fill comes from a large reflector just out of frame. Art direction for this shot was simple - texture. The leather couch, soft carpet and wicker blinds all let the light bounce around in different ways - all meant to give this photo a very tactile feeling.
