Been away from flickr for an eternity now! Logged in only a handful number of times in the last few months, I know am missing out on tons of gorgeous uploads:( Will try to catchup and hope to be back on track soon.

I wanted to click this high power transmission tower ever since I chanced upon it. With dark clouds all around, today seemed like THE perfect day to shoot. But I soon realized, it was not to be. :(

Just as I set up the cam, sun came out over my back. Anything over a min and a half was coming out severely overexposed. I wanted to capture the smooth movement of the clouds across the sky, so didn't want to go any lower than 1 min. Eventually got this satisfactory result at around 70 secs.

I just wish I could find a similar tower in an open field - would be perfect! No walls/trees/wires etc to distract the attention. For now, this is all I could manage. The search is on though . . . .
With the monsoons still around, I hope to get that 'perfect' shot sooner than later!

I was unusually 'free' today, thought of processing some old photos. Initially, I hadn't thought much of this image, was about to delete it last time I had a look.

Ran it through HDR toning and kinda liked the result. Thereafter it was just a matter of adjusting levels/contrast/saturation etc. to get to this.

Btw, the black rocks that you see in the water, are actually buffaloes taking a dip to beat the heat!
