White Christmas

I decided to just embrace the white this year, instead of fighting it with silly things like color.

This is also a look at the fresh paint and new rug. And giant starburst mirror! That thing is 4 feet in diameter. It's deadly.

10 Years Ago...

...I was a little bit tipsy at our wedding reception, and the Chairman and I were dancing to the musical stylings of "Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs." Nobody ever believes me when I tell them this, but there was a backup singer in the band named Velveetha.

I eventually ended up (classily) dancing on a coffee table at the country club. What do you want, I was 23.

Happy Anniversary, Vince Chao! I love you a tiny bit more than I loved you then.

Bench Monday: Recovery Edition

It's overcast and cool outside, a lovely day for convalescing. That beautiful thing I'm wrapped up in is the Sferra throw I won in the bedroom contest. It is super deluxe and made of extreme gorgeousness.

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving. Then Christmas, then New Year's, then what? It's practically spring, y'all.

Tech note: The noise issues I have always had with this camera have started to make me more and more annoyed. Does anyone want to discuss pros and cons of upgrading to 50D or similar from the Rebel? Will it change my life? Is the viewfinder way better? I'll even entertain going to full frame, although I don't know if I can afford to buy all new lenses. I've had the Rebel since 2005, though. It's been good to me. I'm aware that the photographer is more important than the equipment, etc etc. But...thoughts?
