best cookies ever

So, Neiman Marcus recipe, I hate to say it-but it's my favorite. We must think of a better name for it...'cause I can barely bring myself to type that. Wish I was eating some of these right now...

I'll say it loud and proud: i love the Neiman Marcus restaurant. It's true. They serve chicken soup in tiny cups when you get there along with giant popovers. There. I said it. And these cookies look delicious.

Well, I've never been. So I guess I shouldn't knock it. All I know about Neiman Marcus I learned from their holiday catalogs...remember those?

I think I've seen that recipe somewhere but have never tried it. I could definitely eat a couple of these with a glass of milk right about now.

the librarian at work got a copy of nordstrom's oatmeal cherry cookies and i have to tell you they are out of this world. i guess one thing ritzy department stores can do right is cookies.

despite my hesitancy to make these because of the name, it is totally worth it. i made a double batch last night, and ate too many. i think we do need a new name. maybe 'ritzy choc. chip cookies'?

Oh yes! And their oatmeal raisin cookie recipe is also quite good.

okay, yes-i'm a snob i guess it's hard to take a cookie seriously when it's named after a cheesey department store...not really.. i don't really care....
