New Ride
yay! it's a trek 7.2 fx fitness hybrid. pretty much a road bike with some mountain bike features. perfect for the city & trails.
i didn't mind walking, but this is just so much faster. i hate driving somewhere when it's not necessary. plus madison is pretty much built for bicycles because we have one of the biggest bicycle to population ratios in the country.
i think this fall i may go grab an old road bike from a thrift store and rebuild it and convert it to fixed gear. i think it would be a fun project.

Bro I just got a Gary Fisher MTB. Been going biking every weekend for the past couple of months.
Anyway, this looks like a nice bike for what you need. Them side reflectors are ugly, I would get rid of them.
Maybe next time you are in town we can go on some sweet jumps. =P

i ride on busy city streets man. i don't care how they look. the reflectors are staying for now. i'm not down with getting hit.

not even 2 months later and my bike is stolen from the bike rack outside my building. it was obviously the newest & shiniest one there so someone must have picked my lock or cut the chain.
looks like i'll be buying an old road bike and building a fixed gear job sometime in the spring. oh well. i'll probably have more fun with that anyway.
