I think I am going to save this photo and simply use it as a small thumbnail to put next to stories relating to prisoners and jail terms. It will become part of my personal collection and I am likely to forget where I got it from. I just wanted a pic of bars. There are so many out there, but I try to search in creative commons first, when possible! :) Thank you very much, and please let me know ASAP if this isn't cool! :)

Hi abardwell, thanks for making this image available via a creative commons license. I just wanted to let you know that I am using your photograph in my legal blog at www.visatechlawblog.com, with attribution and a link back to the original. It's featured in conjunction with my post on an online game re a death at the Elizabeth Detention Center in New Jersey.

Hi abardwell - thanks for the excellent image and free license. I've used it in an article I wrote about jailed online journalists. Regards, Martin

Hmm. I tried to do something similar, but abardwell was a douchebag dick to me about it, so I stopped using his shitty image. I wonder if he followed up with VisaTechLawBlog and martinleorivers as dickishly as with me. Oh, now I remembered. He wants his name underneath the image EVERY time you use it. It's only about credit with this guy, not sharing.

Good to see you again, Clint. Those folks were great, and actually read the CC license and were happy to abide by it. I'm glad they're able to able to use my images, so I try to send some traffic their way. They believe in attribution, not entitlement.

I'm another law blogger using your photo. Perfect for what I wanted to illustrate, thank you very much! Look to the end of my blog post for the attribution. (I tried to put it in a caption to the picture, but couldn't get the HTML right.) I linked your name to this page. If there's another page you'd prefer that I link to, let me know.

Thanks again.

Please find your picture in use in the following blog post; www.upwardreach.org/?p=4. We could not link your name to this page, given limitations in the blogging software, but the image itself links back to this Flickr account. If you have any concerns, please post them in a comment on the post on our blog, upwardreach.org. Thanks!

Thank you for your photo, I will be using it in a powerpoint discussing digital copyright laws in education. I am using the photo in a page titled "Are you breaking the law?". I will be showing teachers how to properly site authors media and will show the process of using your photo and properly citing you.
