Fenced Off Lights

Fenced Off Lights

Taken overlooking a motorway near Dover. I was currently doing camera training with Another photographer and these are one of the results I am showing that i took.

Deciding against keeping the traffic in focus, i was experimenting myself with how photos of this subject would look when changing the aspect slightly. This is what i got!

Complicated Mass of Buttons

Complicated Mass of Buttons

As with any professional job, you have to know what you are doing. I was working with a lad called Kenny Stokes and for a business called Regen Sound who are Sound and Light Engineers and they wanted some promotional pieces doing of their equipment.

I do not know the technical names for all their equipment but this I am sure is called the Sound Desk. What the 3 million dials do I have no idea but I was treated to a listen in the head phones during the preformance and could hear each item individually of which i thought was quite amazing.

The sound board was a 'small' one but I still wanted to show and make it look bigger. The dials go on and into the distance whereas it is still clear that with the lighting in the distance, it is still in a club like area.

For me as a photographer, the buttons on it give a different feel, looking down the long list of dials, it looks daunting and the further down the board, it gets worse, pushing it out of sight, out of focus at the end!

I was doing some promotional works for a sound engineering company called Regen Sound and this is one of the photos deomonstrating one aspect of sound.

The room I was photographing in was a club in Folkestone and along the sides, the wall light up. The Microphone itself was lit by in house LED spot lights that normally shine on the people playing.

It was a very dark venue to photograph in and this had to even be taken using a Tripod!

Ely Sunset From The Hide

Ely Sunset From The Hide

Taken from the bird Hide at a Nature Reserve near Ely, I was resting the camera on the wooden wall of the hide while taking this photo. I uploaded it even though not one of the best sunsets, but the clouds made a bit more of an impression and with careful eye, you can see birds on the Trees in the distance.

There are many things I could do to improve this shot I know, but i wanted to share this one being the best images taken with you.

Old Tower Hide

Old Tower Hide

An old hide in the shape of a tower to see above the tree lines for views for miles and miles around. The hide itself can be found at Wicken Fen, Nature Reseve, Ely.

Taken back in November of 2011, there were a few birds about, but its not really my speciality. I did have a 300mm lens to hand but for better results, i was using the 50 - 150mm Sigma EX. For this shot however, i had my other Sigma 18-50mm on at the time.
