Kids Stuff

From time to time I do projects with kids.

Lately I have had several Art Parties for kids ranging form 5 to 11 as part of school auctions or fund raisers. The focus is on a collaged shadowbox telling a story. The children learn about Joseph Cornell and then me. I tell them about the bicycle trip I took around America and the art I made on the way, They then embark on a trip around my studio with wooden salad bowls in hand. Throughout our journey they have collected several items then they go back to the table that is loaded with stuff too. Buttons, beads, old stamps and paint. They construct the box. A honey collection box. Then they set to work.
