Esta bandera fue traída desde Cuba a Miami por mi padre (Reinaldo
Escobar Sánchez) en 1994. Ha sido mostrada en actividades políticas de
Grupo Caimán (grupocaiman.org) siempre bajo proyectos de
reconciliación que unan a la nación cubana más allá de las
diferencias. La gran mayoría de los cubanos desean una Cuba mejorada
donde convivir en paz, y esa es la razón por la que es tan popular
esta bandera de algodón, de colores gastados y de origen humilde (fue
cosida por mujeres cubanas)

I truly wish Obama's victory will help normalize the relationship with the island!
I was lucky to study filmmaking and live there for 2 years and know of its wonders, beyond the bad things that the government may be doing as well.. Cuban people are warm and happy above all, and that's what matters most!
